Primordial- "All Empires Fall" Trailer

I wish we had a countdown timer here at Metal Call-Out. If we did, it surely would be counting down the seconds to the release of Primordial’s live DVD. Entitled ‘All Empires Fall’, the DVD will feature 2-disks of the band playing live in Dublin, Germany, Norway and Belgium. In addition to the live tracks there will be about sixty minutes of interviews and a documentary.

Vocalist Alan Averill has commented on the raw nature of the DVD saying, “We are proud that 'All Empires Fall' shows us as we are and as a Primordial show always is. Blood and thunder and no quarter given from start to finish." You can see the trailer for the DVD above, available through Metal Blade Records on March 16.

New Video Clip || Five Finger Death Punch- No One Gets Left Behind

Ok Five Finger Death Punch fans, let’s get one thing straight right now; I am not, have not and probably will never be among your ranks. However, in the spirit of impartial reporting, I feel it is my duty to alert you of their new video clip ‘No One Gets Left Behind.’ The single and video was released today to promote their forthcoming album, ‘War Is The Answer’.   Watch for it on March 8th through Spinefarm Records. You can watch the clip above.

New Video Clip || Hirax- “El Rostro de la Muerte”

Hirax released a new video today for the title track off their latest album, 2009’s “El Rostro de la Muerte” (The Face Of Death). For those of you not in the know or maybe too young to know this, Hirax was one of many early thrash bands that hit the California scene in the 80’s. They've stayed consistent through the years, consistently good and true to the memory of that great thrash era. I would put Hirax a victor in a toe to toe match-up between any of the ‘’Big 4”s recent material.

New Video Clip || Kalmah- 12 Gauge

Whilst on a visit to My Mental Nudity this morning I noticed they had posted (and then bashed) this video for “12 Gauge”, a new track from Kalmah off their upcoming album, also titled “12 Gauge”.  The video I admit, is pretty terrible. On the other hand, Kalmah and the new album are not terrible at all-- more on this later.

12 Gauge” is scheduled to release tomorrow on Spinefarm Records and iTunes. Until then enjoy....

Music Video || LaZarus A.D.- Absolute Power

Wisconsin thrashers, LaZarus A.D. burst into relative mainstream popularity in 2007 with the release of their album 'The Onslaught', a 43 minute long 'Onslaught' of old school flavored thrash and groove. Later, in 2009 Metal Blade Records completely remixed and remastered their album then released it internationally under the name 'Lazarus AD'. Fast forward to  February 2010 and LaZarus A.D. releases this video for the track 'Absolute Power' directed by the good folks at Vision 4 Films. You can pick up a copy of 'The Onslaught' for a fair price here.

New Video Clip || Shining (Nor)- The Madness and the Damage Done

I hadn't heard Shining before today. Well, not this Shining anyway. You may recall a swedish black-metal band by the same name but this is not them. This Shining is a Norwegian extreme-jazz outfit and today they released a video for the song 'The Madness and the Damage Done', the sixth track off their new album 'Blackjazz'. An aptly titled album if I do say so. You can pick up a copy of 'Blackjazz' through Indie Recording or itunes. Enjoy.

Something, Something, Burzum, Something | Sammy Hagar- Heavy Metal

Ok, so it looks like it might be a slow day here at Metal Call-Out. There just is not a lot going on. Wait, Burzum's album was leaked by an employee of Earchache Records. A label not currently involved whatsoever with Varg (unless you count strong hatred and what looks like a beef as involvement). I really don't care about that much and I doubt many of our readers do- so in leu of going on and on about todays 'news', why don't you enjoy with me a scene from 1981's animated movie, Heavy Metal, and leave the fascists and anti-fascists to duke it out.

After a Long Day...| AC/DC- It's A Long Way To The Top

Well folks, after a long day, complete with silly videos and album anticipation satisfied, I am afraid there is not much more to report. I am going to leave you for now with some classic AC/DC in remembrance of the great Bon Scott, who passed away 30 years ago on this very day. Also, don't forget to get you name in for this months giveaway! The deadline is quickly approaching and you will not want to miss out on this.

Decibel Digs Up a Gem

Wow, you can file this one under WTF?! Today, Decibel Magazine dug up this increadible gem of a music video from silly Ohio metallers, Goatmill.  I really don't know what to say- other than a caution to other metal bands, do not, under any circumstance, follow suit and use auto-tune. It's funny here but seriously don't. My heart will break and then I will find you and I will kick your ass. Anyway, enjoy.

New-ish Video || Dark The Suns - Unbroken Silence

While I was out of town on my Texas adventure, Dark The Suns, a gothic-death band based in Finland released their very first video for the track 'Unbroken Silence'. The song is from the bands 2009 album 'All Ends In Silence' out now on Firebox Records.

Dark The Suns first hit the scene in 2007 with the release of their debut album 'In Darkness Comes Beauty', a melancholic and doomy work, light on production, in the vein of early Swallow The Sun.  Perhaps a bit heavy on commercialism, pop and formula, 2009's 'All Ends In Silence' is masterful nonetheless. Clocking in at just over 44 minuets, you shouldn't find yourself bored listening to this album.  However, if you're a Slumber fan as I am, you might find yourself bracing for the band to reach their excellence but falling just short. Low points aside, I highly recommend this band and even dub it- 'Deathscript tested, Deathscript approved'.  For fans of: Swallow The Sun and Slumber
