Blut Aus Nord, France’s premier black metal outfit, have finished recording and will release their new album, 777- Sect(s), on April 19. Debemur Morti Productions and the band are making this release available as a six-panel digipack and 12 inch LP.

According to a report from Mark Gromen over at Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles, Finnish metallers Amorphis will release their new album, tentatively titled Beginning of Time, on May 27th through Nuclear Blast. Read his full report here

2011 Wacken Open Air festival this summer due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict. Wacken 2011 will be held in Wacken, Germany on August 4 through August 8. Click here for an updated list of confirmed bands.

The Black Dahlia Murder has completed the songwriting process for their forthcoming fifth album. The record is tentatively due later this year on Metal Blade Records.

Speaking of Metal Blade Records… They recently inked a worldwide deal with Between The Buried and Me. The band’s first release with the new label will be the upcoming record The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues. A trailer for which can be seen below.
