Opeth Announce New Album Title

This September Swedish metal masters Opeth will release the tenth studio album in their 21 year career on Roadrunner Records. The band revealed today on their official website that the title of the new record will be Heritage. 

Recorded by the band earlier this year at Atlantis Studios in Stockholm, Heritage was engineered by Jens Borgen (who’s worked with Katatonia, Amon Amarth, and Bloodbath among many others) and was mixed once again by Porcupine Tree front man Steven Wilson. Heritage will also be the final record to feature Per Wilberg on keyboards, as he was relieved of his duties last month, a mutual decision with the band.  According to a statement from Opeth the band has already recruited, and is rehearsing with a new keyboardist who’s identity will be revealed at a later time.

Good to see progression in a progressive band. Ive been a fan for years. And will be untill the end. Be it theirs or mine.

I like the artwork, apart from their heads in the tree maybe, looks a bit cheesy. But as long the music is good. Hmm, no growls i´ve heard? It´s def gonna be a homogene and wellproduced record, don´t hope it will dendence to the boring though, which is very well could if it´s only midtempo (hammond) organg based songs like Burden ect. Though i´s a great song, dunno, def lot of accoustic guitars aswell, and i love most of their quiet songs including his melodic singing so it´s def will be pure butter and cream for the ears!

if they used that pic as an album cover is much better then the work of art they are using , i just hate it :(
