Daath: New Album Art

Share

Isn’t that precious?  It may be simpler than what we’re used to seeing from Dååth but there is a lot to be said about simplicity. I am, after all, a self proclaimed metal art expert, I know these things...

I’m kidding, of course.

This cover is not very good at all. It’s true what I said about simplicity but after the intricate and almost obsessive detail put in to the cover of Dååth’s sophomore album The Concealers, a deer dragon eating it’s own foot seems like a step down. Look, I'm not trying to say it's bad or anything, it has it's charms. I just expected more I guess. You know? Maybe there’s just some hidden meaning I’m missing having not heard the album, or maybe it’s some kind of “high” thing. I know the dudes in Dååth enjoy their weed.

What do you think?

Dååth will release this album (it’s self-titled) on October 26 through Century Media Records.

Mullin's picture
agreed. i feel it's technically sound but lacks inspiration. the craftsmanship is there just not the time and effort. i don't blame the artist but maybe the production company.
