Metal Can Look Good Too || Warlock- Triumph and Agony

This album cover is a real gem that caught my eye immediately.  It comes from the German female-fronted heavy metal band Warlock’s 1987 album, ‘Triumph and Agony’.  The paining was created by Geoffrey Gillespie, whom I've had a hard time collecting information on.  What I do know is he has created similarly good art for bands such as Demons Within and Eternal Flight.  In a few words, this art, ‘Conan the Barbarian’-esque as it may be, is a bad ass contribution to our ever growing collection of great album covers.
