02/20/11 - Today In Heavy Metal News || Feat. Demonaz, DevilDriver, Destruction, and Deadlock

-Immortal’s co-founder and chief lyricist Demonaz announced today he’d been working on solo material that would see a release on April 1. The album-- released under the moniker Demonaz--- March of the Norse features Abbath on bass and backing vocals, Ice Dale on guitars and Armagedda rounding out the line up on drums. -DevilDriver’s new record, Beast, can be streamed in its entirety on the band’s Myspace page. Beast is due out on February 22 through Roadrunner Records. Listen to an interview Sparks did with DD guitarist Mike Spreitzer on the new album and life on the road here.

-The German thrash outfit Destruction released the following video for the track Hate Is My Fuel off their new record, Day of Reckoning, today. The entire album is available to stream until tomorrow on the band’s Facebook page.  Day of Reckoning is on sale now via Nuclear Blast Records. See the video after the jump...
