Ask MCO: On The Subject of 2014 Heavy Metal Albums
Q: You asked us at the beginning of the year, but what albums are/were you most looking forward to this year?

Josh: First of all, is that your real name? Because if so, that’s awesome.
For me, that only album I cared about coming into this year was the new Behemoth. I liked it but I think I over-hyped it to myself and was ultimately a little disappointed. So now, without a horse in the race, I’m just listening to what comes my way and looking out for that one great album.
Cody: Insomnium. They need to redeem themselves from their last album and go back to the roots that made them one of the best melodic death metal bands. They are too talented to go backwards.
