Another One Bites The Dust || Exmortem Calls It Quits

Share

After more than 15 years of roads, records and shows, Danish death metallers Exmortem have called it quits. No spectacular drama or deaths prompted this decision it would seem, just as guitarst Martin Thim has stated that with their latest album Funeral Phantoms “[the band] reached what we have always aimed for, now it’s time for something new.” He then goes on to say, “I am extremely proud to look back and be able to say that we never repeated ourselves; each album has its own sound and atmosphere, no album is alike. That is very satisfying as an artist!”

Martin Thim and guitarst Andreas Schubert have already begun working on some material for a new band, but they make no guarantees on whether they will actually record anything. Thim is also taking part in an electronic project he describes as “miles away from this genre.”  Whatever the members go on to do, Metal Call-Out wishes them the best of luck in their future endeavors and a special thank you for the music (especially Nhilistic Contentment).
