I really, really enjoy Forest Silence. Having probably listened to their record The Philosophy of Winter over a dozen times, it has solidified into a favorite of mine and yet if you asked me today why I enjoy this one-man project so much I probably wouldn't have a concrete answer.  The atmosphere is there, it is right and good, the instruments are spot on and the vocals are about as close to perfect as you get for me -- but that is not the reason I like it so much. It is probably something you have “heard” before and yet in it’s formulaic approach it defies the norm and sets itself apart from the pack whilst traveling linear with it. Here I am rambling like a crazy person as though an album was a sentient being or I could somehow convince you to   hear what I am hearing when I know the only thing that could possibly sell you on it is listening. So listen to the title track of the album by clicking play above and I hope you are able to appreciate the band as I have but not suffer from the confounding lack of descriptive prowess that plagues me whenever I try to introduce someone to them.
