This year, with a fresh outlook after a much-needed break, I’m back on the wagon and ready to go. An interesting group of heavy metal releases back in August. We had some big players release some strong albums, in Eluveitie and Accept. Fellow folk metalers Alestorm released their 4th studio album, while Opeth released their 11th. Some highly talked about releases from Darkest Hour and The Haunted. Which leaves DragonForce, Emtombed A.D. and HammerFall quietly making an appearance.

There are a even a couple in this list that might make our annual Metal CallOut Best Album of the Year list. Only time will tell. Some of the popular release in the community was probably the high anticipated At The Gates album, followed by Exodus. Some bands that snuck up on me were the new Scar Symmetry and While Heaven Wept.
