Does anyone else miss Christian Ävestam's vocals in Scar Symmetry? I know Sparks does, and you can read his near riot-inducing review of Scar Symmetry’s latest, sans-Christian album here.  Come May 11th, fans can once again enjoy the unique vocal stylings of Ävestam, because his side-project turned only-project Solution .45 will finally release their much anticipated record ‘For Aeons Past’.  I got a chance to sit down and listen to ‘For Aeons Past’ today and I think it will live up to the hype the previously released teaser tracks started.

Solution .45 boasts a star studded cast with members of Miseration, Essence of Sorrow, Hateform, Angel Blank and of course ex-Scar Symmetry. In addition, the one and only Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity, no big deal) contributed lyrics and backing vocals to the new record. ‘For Aeons Past’ will be available through AFM records starting May 11 but if you are reading this from Europe you probably already know this release date does not apply to you as the album has been out almost a month there already.  (Lucky bastards.)

Last year, we offered the track ‘Clandestiny Now’ for streaming, you can still hear that.  A few months ago we offered the track ‘Gravitational Lensing’ for downloading to our members and you can still download if you haven't already.  (You will need to register for the site and login for the ‘download’ button to appear, but it takes 30 seconds.  Literally.)  Finally, in the spirit of sharing, we offer to you the track ‘Wirethrone’, streaming above.  While it’s not quite a full album stream, we're providing 30% of it. :) Enjoy.
