New Scar Symmetry Video & Contest

There’s been a lot of chatter recently on the site about Scar Symmetry and Solution .45, their respective merits and shortcomings.  We love the dialogue and getting in there and sparring with you guys, so when I saw Scar Symmetry released a new video I decided to jump on it.  Besides the fact that I know a lot of you will appreciate it, the video also features a cameo from a favorite musician of mine, Hypocrisy’s Peter Tägtgren.  The above video comes from Scar Symmetry’s October 2009 album ‘Dark Matter Dimensions’ and was directed by Denis Goria who also worked on this Hypocrisy video.  There are lots of Scandinavian connections here and it reminded me of the game ‘6 degrees of Kevin Bacon’, which got me thinking about a little contest I think we could have; what says everyone to a round of ‘6 Degrees of Scar Symmetry’?  

I want to hear everyone try to connect Scar Symmetry to a musician or band as different or seemingly unconnected to SS as possible.  Let’s say the best one, to be decided by Sparks and myself, will take home the new Solution .45 album or the new Scar Symmetry album – your choice.  Leave your entry in the comment section and be sure to either register with the site or leave you email address so we can contact you.  Also, feel free to enter as many times as you wish--the contest will close and a winner will be announced on 05/31/10.
