It seems like Ozzfest is having a bit of a hard time coming together recently. Not surprising though, what with the rabid saturation of summer tours, presumably to help record labels and bands recoup costs from a market on the decline. I suppose the good thing is, despite the host of terrible bands and tours alike, that there are still great bands, doing their thing -- and will probably continue to do so regardless of the market. That being said, the following acts have been confirmed for Ozzy Osbourne’s 2010 Ozzfest:
|Main Stage:||Second Stage:|
|Ozzy||Black Label Society|
|Mötley Crew||Drowning Pool|
|Rob Halford||Kingdom of Sorrow|
Not too bad I suppose -- but not too great either. Ozzfest 2010 will kick off this year in San Bernardino, CA, the birthplace of the original Ozzfest in 1996 and will finish off in Boston, MA. There will only be six stops on the tour, which I suppose is better than none (last year) or one (2008), but I don’t expect the Ozzfest to return to its previous glory of dozens of stops (some even in Europe) anytime soon. Tickets go on sale May 22 at Live Nation.
