MAPLE METAL RECORDS is a Canadian Indie Heavy Metal Label based in Toronto. MMR was launched in 2009 by John Belrose (producer of one of the pioneering albums in thrash/speed metal: EXCITER’s - Heavy Metal Maniac). Belrose was also producer and manager of ex-Roadrunner Records female-fronted act JADE, with production credits on both their albums 'Teasing Eyes' and 'If You're Man Enough'.
"Our goal at MMR is to release newer metal from talented acts around the world, and bring them to the forefront of wider global markets. In doing so we provide bands with worldwide promotion to achieve a bigger fan base and a greater awareness within the metal community.
We strive to be a leader in bringing new and exciting bands of the highest caliber to the roster of MMR - "Canada's Premier Heavy Metal Label".
Maple Metal Records also promotes yearly Live Events, such as Toronto Folk Metal Fest, Toronto Power Metal Fest, Toronto Death & Thrash Metal Fest, and Toronto Metal Divas Fest.
