Canadian Prog Power Metallers DRAKARIUM Streaming Three Tracks; To Perform at Toronto Power Metal Fest 2016

Canadian progressive power metallers DRAKARIUM released their self-titled debut EP through Maple Metal Records last November.
Hailing from Saguenay, Quebec, Drakarium are a quintet formed in 2004. The founding members of the band are vocalist/guitar player Jipi Brassard, keyboardist Pio Vigneault, and drummer Alexandre L. Martin. New members, lead guitarist Guillaume Duchesne, and Phil Brassard (no relation to Jipi) round out the line-up that performed on the EP.

‘DrakariuM’ was produced by Guillaume Duchesne and the band, in Saguenay, QC. The album cover art was created by Dee Artwork of Indonesia. The main five compositions on the EP were inspired by the Japanese five elements of philosophy (arranged in this order on the EP) Fire, Void, Earth, Water and Wind.

S.A. Music, Japan decribes Drakarium as "playing killer melodic power metal! Their music sounds similar to Stratovarius, Freedom Call and Sonata Arctica, but more powerful and melodic. If you are melodic power metal lovers, you'll be blown away by their tunes!"
Argentina's Headbangers of Latino America also recommended Drakarium's EP in their Top 30 Releases of Power Metal Albums for 2015.

Drakarium will perform at Toronto Power Metal Fest 2016 on Friday, August 12th at Coalition T.O, with Toronto bands Ascendia, Borealis, and Pyramid Theorem.
