We have been waiting patiently when we first heard that Slayer was back in the studio. Today is the say we finally get to hear what they have been working on. The song below is called "When The Stillness Comes".
There isn't an official album title or release date as of this time. Nuclear Blast Records have hinted we will see the new album in August of this year and will include 12 tracks. This is the first album since Dave Lombard, the drummer left the band and the founding guitarist Jeff Hanneman passed away. For the new album Gary Holt, guitarist from Exodus, and Paul Bostaph, drummer, will be filling in.
Kerry King, the guitarist for the band, commented on the meaning of the song:
It's about a dude who wakes up at a crime scene and realizes he's killed everybody.
