Sanctuary Reunited!

I know this news is a bit dated, but I must have been asleep at the keyboard when this all went down. Bear with me.

2010 has proven to be a crazy year for metal. Deaths, break-ups, drama, and the all-mighty reunion. The most recent climb of this roller coaster is the reunion of Sanctuary. It’s been 20 years since the band has played together and now not only are they reuniting for the Thrash Domination event in Japan, they plan to write and record a new album. Most notable of Sanctuary’s ranks is vocalist Warrel Dane from a little band you may have heard of: Nevermore; or Jim Sheppard, bassist, also of Nevermore. Things were very rocky for Sanctuary there at the end of their lifespan, but it’s good to see them back together, drama behind them and writing badass power metal again.

For those who might be thinking the same thing I was, in an interview with Metal Sucks, Warrel Dane assured fans that the reunion would in no way hinder Nevermore and that he intended to make music with the band “forever”. So that’s very good news.
