Amon Amarth’s System Of A Down Cover

Share

That’s right kiddos, oddly enough, Amon Amarth’s latest album, Surtur Rising, features a cover of System Of A Down’s single Aerials. Really, of all the bands, all the songs AA could have covered; this way is up there in terms of “random”.  My hat does go off to Amon Amarth who really made the song their own while still maintaining the original’s, uh… I don’t know, “feel” I guess. Yeah, feel.

Anyway, the track is available as a downloadable bonus when you order the album from FYE. And just so you know your options, you can also get the album in a special, deluxe, swanky, box set edition that comes with an action figure.

Now, Listen:

Surtur Rising comes out in North America on March 29.

What did you think? Did it live up to the original track? Was this version better? Can you not be bothered to give fuck? Let us know in the comments section.
