New Video || Swallow the Sun- Cathedral Walls

A new video for the track Cathedral Walls from Finnish death/doom masters Swallow the Sun can be viewed below. The track, which features a special vocal appearance from Anette Olzon of Nightwish, is set to appear on the band’s forthcoming fifth album, Emerald Forest and the Blackbird. 

Excited as I was, and you may be, to see some new stuff from Swallow the Sun, this track let me down. It’s missing something…

Teeth! That’s it. Swallow the Sun always had, despite the soft and depressive bits, some fucking teeth. A bite. Some brutality, if you will. Hopefully this song is not indicative of the entire album.

Would you listen to and enjoy nine more tracks, a whole album, like that or will you approach this thing trepidation now that you’ve heard Cathedral Walls? Let us know.

Emerald Forest and the Blackbird is set to be released February 1 through Spinefarm Records.

Good. But maybe it would be better make the whole song a ballad, without aggressive part in the middle of track.
