Noumena is a melodic death metal band that takes its name from the philosophical term “noumenon”. They have been active since 1998 and in 2004, after various demos and EPs they were signed to Spikefarm Records. The band consists of the following five members:

 

Antti H. - vocals

Tuukka T. - guitar

Ville L.- guitar

Hannu S. - bass

Llkka U. - drums

 

Noumena are able to brilliantly meld the sounds of melodic-death metal with an old school Scandinavian and ‘80’s metal feel. Their 2006 album, “Anatomy of Life”, is that last we have heard from this band in a while- but I am keeping my fingers crossed for another album or two. Defiantly check out Noumena if you are a fan of Insomnium, or Dark Lunacy.
