What Do They Use? In Flames

Share

For my first segment of What Do They Use (a sometimes weekly account of what equipment your favorite musicians are using) I picked one of my favorite bands, In Flames.  Hate it or love it, I don't really care.  For those who hate it, move on to something else. Those who love it, come witness my awesome Google skills and find out just what equipment the guys from In Flames use.  If you have any desire to, read more after the jump.

Anders Fridén - Vocals

Honesty I couldn't find what microphone or effects Anders uses, so if you know please comment below.  But I don't want to leave you without any insightful information.  Anders Fridén was originally the drummer for Dark Tranquillity?  Just something I picked up on my travels, not sure if it’s true though.

Jesper Strömblad - Rhythm Guitar

Yes I know that Jesper Strömblad quit the band for personal reasons, but I'm listing him because he is the founder of In Flames and deserves a spot.

Guitars
Gibson Flying V
Gibson Explorer
Gibson Gothic Explorer II

Amp
Peavy 5150/6505

Effects
Line 6 POD XT Pro

Björn Gelotte - Lead Guitar

Björn is now picking up the slack from Jespers absence.  He is also one of the brains behind the songwriting for In Flames.  His guitar is what most people should play, a Custom Les Paul.  I'm sorry I couldn't track down which one specifically, but their all good….right?

Guitars
Gibson Les Paul Custom
ESP Eclipse

Amp
Marshall JVM 210h

Peter Iwers - Bass Guitar

Peter has used about everything he could get his hands on.  Brands like ESP, Ibanez, Washburn, Peavey, Spector and Ampeg.  With all of that behind him now he will probably never have to worry about buying another bass guitar again. Now that he has his own line on Ibanez.

Bass Guitar
Ibanez Signature Bass - PIB2

Amp
Ampeg SVT-4PRO

Effects
Dunlop MXR M-80 Bass D.I.

Daniel Svensson - Drummer

Daniel is the youngest member of the band.  I feel like he has one of the most simple drum sets.  He has one brand for his drums and hardware.  A single brand for this cymbals and one for his drum heads.  Other band drum sets I've seen usually have all kinds of mix and match.

Drums
Tama Starclassic Maple/Bubinga, Piano White

Tama IronCobra Power-Glide Double Bass Pedal
