I have true reverence for Tom Phillips as a composer since discovering WHW in 2003. It captures all I strive for in music: beauty, power, gravity, heart, elegance, and inspiration. I've never seen WHW live in person, but this DVD will be the next best thing.

They really stick out from the Doom scene by defining their own metal sound with their powerful approach with doomy atmosphere while giving a sense of hope. And this live set shows that they can make it justice on the stage as well! Since heaven wept, I've never slept.

I've been following this band for the last eight years or so, and Vast Oceans Lachrymose is one of my favorite albums of all time. I was actually talking to Tom Phillips recently via email, thanking him for this music. I'd love to have this set, as the footage he's posted from it on MySpace looks incredible.
