Agalloch- Marrow of the Spirit | Tour, Cover Art, Track Listing

Holy crap, the day has finally come! Agalloch announced mere moments ago that would be releasing their fourth full-length album, Marrow of the Spirit, the follow up to 2006’s Ashes Against The Grain, on November 23. The band describes the new album as; “...unlike anything Agalloch have ever produced before” and will be the first to feature they new drummer Aesop Dekker (of Ludicra). They go on to say; “[Marrow of the Spirit] is Agalloch’s darkest, bleakest, most dense, detailed and aggressive album to date and in turn is the most accomplished album of their career.”

Marrow of the Spirit was recorded entirely in analog on vintage equipment at Audible Alchemy Studios in Portland, Oregon with Steven Wray Lobdell (of Faust) commanding the helm. The album features six time-stretching tracks, only two of which are under ten minutes long.

In addition to the new record, Agalloch announced they would embark on a short West Coast tour with neo-folk outfit Allerseelen. After the jump you can take a look at the dates of that tour as well as the track listing for Marrow of The Spirit

Rejoice!
