Eight Years After… R.I.P. Chuck Schuldiner

On his birthday May 13, 1999 Death’s Chuck Schuldiner was diagnosed with brain cancer. After a two-year battle and despite the best efforts of those around him, Chuck succumbed to the illness and passed away December 13, 2001. Sunday marked the eight year anniversary of his death. Without the “Father of Death Metal’s” lasting influence, it’s hard to know where so many bands would be today.
