Mournful Congregation: New Track and West Coast Tour Dates

Share

As the release of Australian funeral doom act Mournful Congregation’s fourth full-length, The Book of Kings, draws near, BrooklynVegan are hosting a stream of a brand new track off the album, titled The Waterless Streams, at this location (warning: use of the word “melodicism”).

The track’s not too shabby, pretty standard fare as far as funeral doom goes-- slow, moving, over ten minutes long and all that-- but defiantly worth a listen or two since it’s Mournful Congregation. Check it out for yourselves and let us know what you think in the comments below..

The Book of Kings is slated for release in North America on November 8th via 20 Buck Spin.

Also recently announced is Mournful Congregation’s very first trip to North America this autumn in support of the new album. The tour will take the band on a nine-show run across the US and Canada’s west coast then on into Texas where they’ll wrap things up in Austin after an appearance at the Rites of Darkness Festival in San Antonio.
