As The Day Breaks... || Acheron Calls It Quits

Sad news for Acheron fans this morning. It would seem that after 22 years, five full-lengths and a slew of other releases, they've called it quits. On the band's myspace they didn’t really give a reason for the said split, so they're either tight lipped or it’s just “that time”. I can’t really speculate, but I will say that sadly, far too many bands take 'that time' and drag it behind a pickup truck for the rest of their miserable careers until a member of the band dies or is admitted into a geriatric hospital.

In short, everything must end one way or another, for better or worse. On a happier note, the band will continue to tour select dates until January 1st 2011. We'll try to keep you updated on those dates and venues, so look for that in the future.
