A smattering of the day’s heavy metal news in one convenient post…

A brand new track from Novembers Doom, Of Age And Origin- Part 1: A Violent Day, is available for streaming on The End Record’s Bandcamp page. The track is off the band’s forthcoming new album Aphotic, which The End Records will release on May 10.

Aphotic will feature several guest appearances including The Gathering’s vocalist Anneke Van Giersbergen, Earthen Grave’s violinist Rachel Pine, and Dan Swanö, who also sat behind the mixing board on this album.

Metal Hammer Germany premiered a band new Amon Amarth track, For Victory or Death, yesterday. The track comes off the band’s anticipated eighth studio full-length, Surtur Rising, which is scheduled for release in the US on March 29.

Weedeater’s new album, Jason… the Dragon, is available to stream over at the band’s Myspace page from now (well, actually yesterday) until the albums release on March 15. Go check it out and let us know what you thought in the comments section.

In keeping with their tradition of alliterated album titles, Anvil will release their 14th studio effort as Juggernaut of Justice. The album’s title track is available to stream below or download as part of The End Record’s Spring 2011 Sampler. Within the video below you can also check out the album’s cover art. 

So far as I can tell Juggernaut of Justice does not have an official release date yet, but we’ll keep you updated. Enjoy!

Burn, the first track from Jag Panzer’s latest album, The Scourge of the Light, to receive video treatment was released as such today through AOL’s Noisecreep. Check out the video below and if you haven’t already, be sure to have a listen to the full album- it’s phenomenal!

Morbid Angel are finally releasing a new album after an almost 8 year absence. The album, titled Illud Divinum Insanus is slated for release on June 7 through Seasons of Mist. Since what seems to be the general opinion of this news was summed up quite well by a few commenters' on B-mouth, I’ll leave you with a screen shot of their words:
