It’s Wednesday, the proverbial hump-day, we’re a little closer to the weekend, sure, but the day is still in such close proximity to Monday that it’s easy to hate. Metal Call Out has the cure, let’s take a break and boldly stride the hump with some Argus, yeah?

Argus is a traditional doom metal band hailing from Pennsylvania, who released their second full-length, titled Boldly Stride The Doomed (hence the stupid-ass as pun above), this year on Cruz Del Sur Music. Simply put, Boldly Stride The Doomed was one of only a small handful of albums I’ve acquired this year that helped restore my faith in good metal. Their regressive approach to doom, met with great production and out of this world vocals make this easily the best release in the genre this year, thus far. Step aside DoomSword.
