Feeling tired? Bad case of the Mondays? If the coffee is not cutting it this morning there is meth, but if you wish to forgo all those pesky side effects but retain the jittery sense of alertness you can always just pop in a CD from The Number 12 Looks Like You.

This band’s frantic and furious tempos that pitch and shift the listener through a multitude of sonic spheres in seemingly a matter of moments are enough to jump start and leave even the most docile of folk frazzled. My favorite album from this young band was one of their earliest works, Sad. Nuclear. Sad., which retained some melody whilst still subjecting the listener to the aforementioned highly caffeinated lashings. Sadly The Number 12 now looks defunct but that won’t stop us from naming Sad.
