New Video || Elvenking- The Cabal

Share

Take a look at this new video from Criss Angel’s band, Elvenking.

Obviously that’s not actually Criss Angel but can’t you see the resemblance in the singer? I kept expecting him to levitate, walk up to the camera and say “You’ve just been mind freaked!”, then grab it and put his mouth around the lens the way Mr. Angel does.

That would have made for an interesting video at least.

Anyway, the track, The Cabal, is off Elvenking’s forthcoming album, Red Silent Tides (which I'm almost positive is a metaphor for menstruation), due out September 17 on AFM Records. If you live in Europe you can catch Elvenking on tour with Primal Fear starting the 18th of this month. Click here for those dates.

These guys used to be folky power metal, what the hell happened? They sound very poppy now... This is not something I'd have a problem with, I loved Keep of Kalessin's "The Dragontower" track (although the rest of the album blew) and I'm a big Billy Idol fan, yet this is uninspired. Whenever Criss Angel is mentioned all I can imagine is him levitating in a cardboard box up on a rooftop reassuring his spectators every 10 seconds that he has no strings or ropes attached. Hahaha
