On September 30 for one day only Oregon band, Thorns of Creation will be streaming a track from their forthcoming album "Twilight Descends" on their myspace. The band also released this statement about the progress of this album, track listing, and upcoming shows:
Hey guys! We all thought it was about time to give our loyal followers an update on the creation of our debut album, "Twilight Descends", and reveal a little more info about what we're planning for the future.
So far, tracking has gone tremendously. We are constantly being amazed at the energy that is being captured in these recordings, and we feel that it's going to be a great representation not only of what ToC's sound is really about, but also the force that we bring to our live performances. Be prepared to have sore necks and ringing ears, because you're gonna want to blast this thing as loud as you can!
We only have a few days left of actual tracking to do, and we expect to be well into the mixing and mastering stages before the month is out. Nearly all guitars, bass lines and vocals have been layed down, and we expect to be finished with the remainder in the next two recording sessions.
I'm sure many of you are curious about what songs we've decided to include on the album. Well today is your lucky day! Right here, right now, we're going to reveal the entire tracklist!
"Chamber Of Torment"
"Into The Howling Storm"
"Scourge Of Humanity"
"Inside The Crimson Sky"
Now, the official lineup of these songs as it will appear on the album has yet to be determined, but we will definately keep you guys posted as the information becomes available.
It's still too early to set a release date, but right now we are shooting to have "Twilight Descends" completed in mid to late December, with the official release and first tour to follow soon after. Although everything is still up in the air at this point, we have high hopes and expectations for the future. We want to thank you all for the support you've given Thorns Of Creation, and we can't wait to share this next step in our journey with you.
Even though we've been busting our balls on this record, we're getting restless. The urge to rock and destroy is all-consuming, and as a result we've booked a few shows in the coming weeks. You can check out the info about these concerts on our schedule, including October 11th @ The Domino Room in Bend OR, featuring national-touring act The Ghost Inside. This is an all-ages show, so we hope to see plenty of psychopaths of all ages tearing it up!
We can't wait to thrash with all of you guys again! Keep it heavy, stay metal!
Dont forget new song, streaming on Myspace on September 30th 2009.
