On October 27, 2009 Chicago natives, Pelican will release their fourth studio album "What We All Came To Need". We got an advance copy and can only say that Pelican is well intact and still making their excellent blend of doom/post-metal and rock with pop sensibilities. While the band probably wont make any new fans with this record, old fans will be pleased with the light progression and as always über-creativity of the band.
