Exussum is a technical death metal band that released their self-produced, sophomore EP ‘Seeding The Bastard Race’ in 2009. Exussum is a regular staple in the Colorado death metal scene that has shared the stage with an array of impressive metal acts.

With brutality pulsing through every vein of ‘Seeding The Bastard Race’ I found it a hard record to put down. The instruments are a solid example that high caliber talent doesn’t lie strictly in the hands of polished, big label bands. And the vocals are spot on, with meaningful and intelligent lyrics to boot. My one and only complaint is the all important originality factor-- what I have come to learn though, is that often times a band is just getting their footing on the first record and with talent like this I am excited to hear what the future brings. After hours of spins on repeat, and a thorough reading of the lyric book, I declare this Deathscript tested, Deathscript approved.
