Album of the Day || Ozzy Osbourne- Blizzard of Ozz

Share

I’ve been busy at work on my Top Ten list(s) all morning so I’ve not had a moment to see what was going on in the metal world until about five minutes ago when I discovered very little. Iced Earth released a Live DVD, Ex Deo signed to Napalm, and some As I Lay Dying TourSo yeah. It’s times like these I like to fall back on old staple;  Album Of The Day.

This one’s for you, Tipper!

From the iconic Crazy Train to the controversial Suicide Solution; mournful Goodbye to Romance to the socially aware Revelation, Ozzy’s 1980 debut masterwork, Blizzard of Ozz has stood the test of time and remains one of the greatest heavy metal records of all time. Certified quadruple platinum (that’s 4 million or more units) in 1997 and having sold 6 million copies worldwide, Blizzard of Ozz is also (rightfully) Ozzy Osbourne’s best selling record to date.

I think it’s safe to assume most (all?) of you have heard this album, or at the very least a few songs from within, so in lieu of a streaming track here’s a video of a trve badass playing the Crazy Train intro on a homemade PVC pipe drum thingy. Enjoy.
