The long wait is almost over, At the Edge of Time will be released in Europe on July 30th.  You have all been so nice and patient, therefore we have decided to share 3 full length tracks from the album with you.  So, brush up a little on the writings of Michael Moorcock and George R.R. Martin and enjoy the following:

The video above is the sixth installment of trailers Blind Guardian has released in anticipation of their album. Featured in the trailer are the guys working with a full orchestra and choir, tracking the songs Wheel of Time and A Voice In The Dark. Just a few moments into this video it’s easy to realize this album is no small budget affair and BG are puling out all the stops to deliver what could quite possible the album of the year. At The Edge Of Time is slated for an August 24th North American release but if I’m not mistaken, we are sending out the import version to the lucky two that win the giveaway so they should receive it before then.

As I’m sure many of you already know, Blind Guardian has a new album coming out this summer. Last I checked, July 30 to be exact. I think it is also safe to assume that many of you have heard their single A Voice in the Dark, which they released on June 25th.  What many of you probably don’t know is that you can hear samples of all the tracks off the forthcoming album in the video above. 

 

Blind Guardian has done a pretty impressive job of slowly releasing bits of information here and there about their upcoming album ‘At The Edge Of Time’. If you follow the site at all, you probably have noticed that we have devoted quite a bit of page space to Blind Guardian and have followed each step of the revelation process with keen interest. That being the case, we are proud to share with you the announced album art for ‘At The Edge Of Time’. The artwork (seen above) reminds me of most of the other Blind Guardian albums, in particular 2006’s ‘A Twist in the Myth’ and so I think it’s safe to assume the artistry duties were carried out by the same man, Anthony Clarkson. Enjoy, and keep coming back for more Blind Guardian news leading up to the summer release of ‘At The Edge of Time’.  After the jump you can check out the track listing for the album BG announced today along side the cover art.

 

This morning, Blind Guardian announced the titled of their forthcoming studio album.  ‘At the Edge of Time’ is expected to hit stores late THIS summer.  This comes after news of the band’s new single titled ‘A Voice in the Dark’ from which you can hear a sample here.  The track listing on the album thus far is:

I am sure we can expect to hear more from the band concerning this release soon, so be sure to check back often as we’ll report the news as it comes.

I told you there would be a lot of power metal today (at least more than usual). Above is a sample of ‘A Voice in the Dark’, a new single to be released from the band Blind Guardian on June 25.  I’m a huge fan of Blind Guardian’s work on ‘Nightfall in Middle-Earth’ and I’m digging what little I can hear from the sample already.  The artwork for the single can be viewed after the jump, which is pretty badass as well.  Does all of this mean a forthcoming album from the band? Absolutely.  ‘A Voice in the Dark’ will be featured on a rumored album of which we expect to hear more about soon.  Keep your eyes peeled and Metal Call-Out in your bookmarks because we'll be bringing you information as it comes.
