After A Long Week... || Happy Birthday Star Wars

Google let me down today. As I pulled up my Internet browser, Google as my default homepage, I found the google art a PAC-MAN scene. I was utterly disappointed. You’d think the people working for Google would be nerds, and nerdy enough to know that today shouldn’t be celebrated by PAC-MAN’s 30th birthday, but by Star Wars’ Empire Strikes Back birthday, also 30 years old.  What is the world coming to when people don’t recognize the truly important things in life? I suppose I must move on to the important things that happened this week in the metal world on the site.

• Probably the biggest piece of news was that of Ronnie James Dio’s passing
• Another death (happening last month and only being reported this week) was Joe Markowski
• A terrible video/song from Sonic Syndicate
• Sparks’ Deftones' album review for Diamond Eyes
• Heartbreaking news about Isis calling it quits (I was probably the saddest staff in the office about this one)
• News about the The Big Four (kind of) making their way to the U.S.
•  A new Shiny Penny featuring Trollskogen
